Thank you for taking the time to register your interest in working with Search Sciences LLP in a freelance capacity. Would you be kind enough to take a few moments to complete the following information to the best of your ability.

Confidentiality and Data Protection
Your information will be held in the strictest confidence in accordance with the relevant Data Protection Legislation and will be used SOLELY for the purposes of any engagement with Search Sciences LLP and its subsidiaries and distribution brands.

A couple of notes:
  1. Some of the login information will be used to automatically create a system profile for you if a suitable engagement is identified.
  2. Please check your entries carefully - particularly your email address because once we have added your profile, you will not be able to change it using this form.
  3. There are notes against each item with further explanations.
  4. Completing this form will register your interest but of course doesn't guarantee that we will have suitable engagements for you now or in the future.

Your First Name (required):
This is displayed on system welcome messages and in system emails.

Your Surname / Family Name (required):
Your identity is not visible to clients or to most Search Sciences team members - only senior management.

Password (required):
There is no minimum length but we recommend a length of 6 or more. Can include both characters and numbers and IS case sensitive.

Email Address (required):
Used for system notification emails and communications from the management team.

Contact Telephone Number (optional):
We may occasionally need to reach you, for example if we encounter email problems. A landline, mobile or both.


Address (optional):
Your postal address.


Preferred Payment Method (required):
The method by which you prefer us to pay you.
Please note: we can only pay by bank transfer to United Kingdom bank accounts. We are unable to make payments by cheque.



Rates, Availability and Capacity
Throughput Capacity (required):
The number of 500 word pieces you feel that you can comfortably research and write per month.
Must be a number between 0 and 999.

Minimum Per Word Rate (required)
Your minimum per word rate in cents. All writing and proofing staff are paid per word. We work on the assumption of some 1000 to 1500 words per hour throughput if this helps in calculating your rates.  Whilst we have a wide range of clients and work, please remember that rates are always under HUGE pressure - content is now a global market! Rates are therefore a major factor in our selection process so please be as competitive as you can!
EXAMPLE: if your target writing rate is $15-20 per hour, your word rate would be 1.5 cents per word.

Availability Notes (required):
A rough idea as to your weekly or monthly availablility (in hours or explain as comments). Also please indicate if there are periods during which you will regularly or occasionally NOT be available due to other commitments.


Minimum Turnaround Time:
Minimum time required for brief completion from point of notification to delivery, assuming normal workload.

Our systems and procedures will use this information when identifying the most appropriate staff member for a given brief.
